  • ENCAVIS GmbH (Hamburg oder Neubiberg bei München)
  • Permanent
  • Full-time
  • 50% Mobile Office possible

What do we rely on at ENCAVIS? The sun. The wind. And on you.

Welcome to Encavis! Our world is all about the power of the sun, the wind and the more than 400 people across our group who are working together to shape the energy system of the future in order to ensure a sustainable energy supply for future generations.

ENCAVIS Management GmbH & Co. KG is the holding company of ENCAVIS GmbH, one of Europe's leading electricity producers from renewable energies. We operate a broadly diversified portfolio of over 330 onshore wind farms, ground-mounted solar plants and battery storage facilities in 13 European countries with an installed capacity of more than 3.8 GW. And best of all, we are continuing to grow! Our subsidiaries, Stern Energy SpA, which operates throughout Europe as a specialist in technical services for photovoltaic systems, and Encavis Portfolio Management GmbH, which specialises in supporting institutional investors, complement our portfolio.

What does this mean for you? The opportunity to make a difference, to shape and change things. As part of a multinational team that enjoys helping to make the energy transition a success.

Shape investment decisions through technical excellence:
As Technical Transaction Advisor, you play a key role in ensuring that renewable energy investments are based on robust, transparent and well‑evaluated technical foundations. Acting as the internal technical lead, you bridge the gap between engineering, investment and external advisors, translating complex technical topics into clear decision-making input. This role offers you a high level of responsibility and visibility within transaction processes, enabling you to directly influence investment quality and long-term portfolio performance in a dynamic and growing renewable energy environment.

Your sunny outlook:

  • Technical Lead in Transactions: You take full ownership of the technical workstream across PV and BESS acquisition projects, from early-stage assessment through to investment decision.
  • Management of External Advisors: You steer and challenge external technical advisors, ensuring high-quality outputs, appropriate scope and decision-oriented deliverables.
  • Technical Due Diligence Oversight: You review, analyse and critically assess technical due diligence reports, expert opinions and project documentation across construction and operational stages.
  • Risk & Value Assessment: You identify technical risks, define mitigation strategies and uncover value levers, translating technical findings into investment-relevant conclusions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You work closely with internal stakeholders such as Investment, Legal, Engineering, Asset Management and local subsidiaries to ensure alignment across all transaction activities.
  • Contract Assessment: You support the technical evaluation of key contracts such as EPC, O&M, grid connection agreements and major component supply contracts from an investor perspective.
  • Decision Support & Reporting: You prepare and present technical decision papers, risk assessments and recommendations to investment committees and senior management.
  • Standards & Methodologies: You contribute to the continuous development of Encavis’ technical due diligence standards, methodologies and templates.

We'll get wind of that soon:

  • Academic Background: You hold a degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
  • Relevant Professional Experience: You bring several years of experience in technical advisory, due diligence, engineering, construction or operation of PV and/or BESS projects.
  • Transaction & Due Diligence Expertise: You have strong experience in technical due diligence for M&A or project acquisitions, ideally from a Technical Advisor, Owner’s Engineer or consultancy background.
  • Stakeholder & Coordination Skills: You have proven ability to coordinate and manage external experts in complex and time-critical transaction environments.
  • Technical & Commercial Understanding: You understand the interplay between technical, commercial and contractual aspects of renewable energy projects.
  • Analytical & Tool Expertise: You have strong analytical skills and are confident working with Excel-based models.
  • Communication & International Environment: You communicate fluently in English; German is considered a strong advantage.
  • Working Style & Mobility: You work in a structured, independent and collaborative way and are willing to travel occasionally for site visits and project assessments.
