What do we rely on at ENCAVIS? The sun. The wind. And on you.
Welcome to Encavis! Our world is all about the power of the sun, the wind and the more than 400 people across our group who are working together to shape the energy system of the future in order to ensure a sustainable energy supply for future generations.
ENCAVIS Management GmbH & Co. KG is the holding company of ENCAVIS GmbH, one of Europe's leading electricity producers from renewable energies. We operate a broadly diversified portfolio of over 330 onshore wind farms, ground-mounted solar plants and battery storage facilities in 13 European countries with an installed capacity of more than 3.8 GW. And best of all, we are continuing to grow! Our subsidiaries, Stern Energy SpA, which operates throughout Europe as a specialist in technical services for photovoltaic systems, and Encavis Portfolio Management GmbH, which specialises in supporting institutional investors, complement our portfolio.
What does this mean for you? The opportunity to make a difference, to shape and change things. As part of a multinational team that enjoys helping to make the energy transition a success.
What this means for you:
This role is not about daily plant operations.
It is about governance, performance oversight and long-term value protection of our solar portfolio from an asset owner point of view.
You will build and lead a technical function within Asset Management and ensure that O&M providers (internal and external) deliver consistently high standards across our PV portfolio.
Your sunny outlook:
- Asset owner responsibility
Overall technical responsibility for the solar portfolio from an asset owner perspective, with a clear focus on technical KPIs (e.g. availability, performance), risk mitigation and long-term asset value. - Leadership & technical competence center
Build, structure and lead a technical competence center within Asset Management, integrating existing internal resources and continuously strengthening solar know-how across the organisation. - Governance, standards & scalability
Define technical standards, KPIs, reporting structures and governance frameworks to drive harmonisation, scalability and high-quality output across the portfolio. - Close collaboration of operational, locally Technical Management (without daily execution)
Steer, supervise and challenge O&M providers in close collaboration with the local Technical Management in the corresponding country markets - ensuring delivery excellence without taking over day-to-day operations. - Production budgets & forecast ownership (portfolio level)
Own and govern annual production budgets and performance forecasts at portfolio level, ensure consistent variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and initiate corrective actions through operational entities. - Portfolio optimisation incl. revamping & repowering
Evaluate, prioritise and accompany value-creating optimisation projects such as revamping, repowering and complex technical upgrades - covering technical assessment, business case support and execution oversight. - Technical due diligence
Asset owner lead for technical due diligences related to acquisitions, repowering strategies and portfolio optimisation measures when required. - Interface & sparring partner
Close collaboration with Investment, Asset Management, Engineering and Legal; act as technical sparring partner for management, shareholders - Compliance & HSE oversight
Ensure portfolio-wide compliance with technical, regulatory and HSE requirements through appropriate governance and control mechanisms.
We'll get wind of that soon:
- Academic Background: You hold a degree in electrical engineering or a comparable technical discipline with a strong foundation in renewable energy technologies.
- Relevant Professional Experience: You bring extensive professional experience (typically 8–10+ years) in technical asset management, technical portfolio management or owner’s engineering roles within the solar PV sector.
- Leadership & Governance Expertise: You have proven experience in building and leading teams as well as establishing governance structures and technical excellence frameworks.
- PV Technology & Lifecycle Expertise: You have a strong understanding of PV technology, key performance drivers, lifecycle management and risk management across solar assets.

- Structured & Analytical Mindset: You work in a structured, resilient and analytical manner and are able to manage complex technical and operational challenges.
